This Sunday following the Teen Mass will be the last community meal night featuring a fundraiser for Fr. Vang for his mission trip to Vietnam. RSVPs were due May 9 and those at the youth meeting turned in their RSVP. Therefore, the senior youth meeting being led by Alex White will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. at Gill Hall.
Next Sunday will be our last Theology of the Body meeting (May 23). It will resume again in the fall once a month. Next week's lesson, "Naked Without Shame".
May 23 Teen Mass will be a Mass to honor St. James Graduates (high school and college)...please join in the celebration of honoring our senior youth members who will be graduating. For any senior who is planning on attending to be honored, please get your information to me by May 16. If it is late, you will not be in the program for the Mass.
Our final senior youth meeting will be Sun., May 30. Our last meeting of the year will honor our graduates...it will be a joyous, memorable event to recognize, toast and roast our members. Please start thinking of some great memories to share with them. Following the meeting will be a lock-in (notice...it is a lock-in therefore we will be enjoying the company of everyone...no faith lessons, no structure...just fun being together). Permission slip can be obtained by contacting St. James Sr Youth e-mail address or Kelli. It will be required for you to be able to participate and spend the night. Cost of the lock-in is $5 to cover breakfast supplies. We ask that you bring snacks and drinks to share. Also don't forget your sleeping bag, pillow, clothes and toiletries. Sun., May 30 will also be our last Teen Mass. We will resume again in September.
*Last Sunday we had sign ups to join the Confirmation Retreat Planning Team (the retreat will be Sat., Sept. 25). This group will have a couple of overnight planning seasons over the summer to plan the upcoming confirmation class retreat (theme, talks, activities, meals, etc).
